There are multiple advantages in using Cygnets’ prefabricated Plastic flow control chambers as part of a stormwater storage solution. From a practical perspective, the units are fabricated in a workshop environment with all inlet and outlet pipe connections positioned exactly and fully welded to the chamber wall with all joints tested for structural integrity. The Flow control device is pre-installed  to an internal mounting plate, So NO chance of leakage.

From a time/cost perspective, due to pre-fabrication the installation is straight forward and can be done in a short time frame without need for staged in-situ construction. From an environmental point, HDPE chambers are a much more carbon efficient product compared to equivalent concrete structures and can aid the construction industry in their task of reducing GHG emissions in accordance with global targets. In addition, HDPE is 100% recyclable.

From a Health and safety standpoint, plastic chambers are easier to, offload, move, install , connect and transport. Reducing risk at every stage of the operation from factory to site installation. These units are easy to maintain, allow free flow of liquid , will never crack and will absorb ground settlement by virtue of the flexibility of the material.

All in all Plastic chambers  hold advantages over traditional concrete structures in almost all applications.
