Benched sewer manholes have been a similar basic design for centuries. However, in-situ concrete and mortar construction of these essential installations is piecemeal and time consuming.

 

At a time when quality site labour is at a premium, finding individuals with the knowledge, skillset, and experience to construct these chambers and form quality mortar benching and channelling that will meet required quality standards is an increasingly difficult challenge.

 

Our prefabricated HDPE benched manholes eliminate all these issues. Each unit will arrive in site with the prescribed inlet / outlets set at correct orientation to correct diameter ready to simply couple to the new pipework installation and backfill. Onward cover-slab and frame construction is made easy.

 

Internally, all the benching and channelling will be in in smooth low friction high density polyethylene, easy to install, maintain and keep clean. We can fabricate manholes of sizes up to 3.0m dia and with chamber depths up to 6m and beyond if required. We produce manholes with spigot outlets in solid wall or twin-wall pipe at any diameter required. Connection is via push fit, mechanical or even electrofusion couplers to existing drainage systems.

From an environmental point, HDPE manholes are a much more carbon efficient product compared to equivalent concrete structures and can aid the construction industry in their task of reducing GHG emissions in accordance with global targets. In addition, HDPE is 100% recyclable.

From a Health and safety standpoint, Plastic Manholes are easier to, offload, move, install, connect and transport. Reducing risk at every stage of the operation from factory to site installation. These units are easy to maintain, allow free flow of liquid, will never crack and will absorb ground settlement by virtue of the flexibility of the material.
